permutato ordine, positura, figura…
Lucrezio, De rerum natura, Liber I
The installation that runs through the three consecutive rooms of the Library consists of a single broken line in perpetual motion: a sequence of segments connected by flexible joints. A system of counterweighted cables continuously determines its configuration, redefining the proportions of space while alluding to the ideal space of knowledge. The three rooms of the Library are dedicated to history, philology, and science. The uninterrupted passage of the line establishes a longitudinal connection between these fields, while its mobility generates a transversal link that suggests the constant redefinition of the boundaries between domains of knowledge—long considered distinct and now increasingly interconnected within the perspective of contemporary studies. The angles formed by the segments change in every direction and at different speeds: some remain temporarily still, awaiting the emergence of a new configuration elsewhere. The line presents itself as form, yet through its movement it manifests as gesture. Each configuration corresponds to a multiplicity of events in the cables and counterweights: a visible echo that propagates throughout the entire structure. This behavior may be compared to what occurs within disciplines of knowledge, where no advancement remains isolated but reverberates across the entire system. The formal vocabulary of the whole, composed essentially of pure lines, seeks to free itself from the contingencies of the present, as if suspended outside of time—between geometric sketches, diagrams, and architectural proportions—in search of the essential.

...there are so many projects in Arte Sella, but if I should pick-up one work,I like "the fountain" as a one streight wood (the stylus) , suspended from top of the trees, and there is a small pond, like a fountain: I like the water very much, but this project is picking up the beauty of water in the forest in a very unique way, and that's why I was so impressed to see that project.

I believe the future lies in a direction that sets Arte Sella in opposition to nature, because the two are fundamentally different. Art cannot imitate nature—otherwise it would not be art; it must therefore distance itself. Looking at recent trends, at the latest developments, one can see a growing autonomy emerging—a collection of objects increasingly detached from this geography.
Gazzola’s Stilo, I think, moves in this direction. It is minimalist, not in the fashionable sense of doing less because it is acceptable, but rather as a kind of silence between two things that deeply interest me: the idea that there is no nature without art, and no art without nature.

..."Lo stilo", because it captures so simply, the non-linearity of nature.
It has to be light: it's the way of light moves on moving surfaces...
